Let’s be real: we all deal with stress, every now and then. Okay, maybe more often than “every now and then”. Whether you experience stress in the most intense moments, or in the ordinary ups and downs of life, we can all agree that stress is no fun. Stress may cause acne, sleep loss, and cause us to enjoy life less- not to mention, making it harder to come to decisions.

Our Tips For Staying Calm

One of our favorite remedies for stress relief and introducing calmness in your life is, of course, taking a few CBD Gummies. Full of natural ingredients, they can help calm your heart and mind, regulate your nervous system, and streamline your focus and clarity so you can make crystal clear decisions, even in moments of stress. Sounds pretty great, right? But what are some other things you can do to help stay calm and make good decisions? Well, you are in the right place for some answers! Read on.

1.  Take deep breaths.

We know, we know, it seems cliché… but hear us out. There’s something about mindful breathing that does wonders! If you can, and it won’t disrupt your coworkers too much, take a deep cleansing breath in through your nose, hold it for just a moment, and then breathe out through your mouth. If you can close your eyes and roll your shoulders, even better. A few breath cycles later, you’ll be feeling as good as new. Incorporating consistent breathing exercises in your routine can be a good practice too.

2.  Pay attention to how much sleep you are getting.

The amount of sleep our bodies need plays a huge part in the way we can (or can’t) focus on our daily decisions. Most adults need between 6-8 hours, if not more, sleep every night. Having trouble falling asleep? Try turning off your electronics up to an hour before bed; to help your body get ready to rest. Or, try one of those fancy sleep cycle tracker apps on your phone to make sure you are getting enough REM cycles. (Dream on, baby.)

3.  Keep some CBD Gummies with you.

We know we already mentioned this one, but it is so helpful we just have to mention it again. Some customers have said that they notice a difference in their stress (and therefore calmness) within mere moments of chowing down on a CBD Gummy. It doesn’t get much better than that! Based on your circumstances and situation, you may take between 1-3 gummies at a time. Your call! To make sure this natural medicine is right for you, check with your practitioner or naturopath.

4.  Make time to do things you enjoy.

When you have an outlet you enjoy, like a sport or a creative activity, it can help improve all other aspects of your life. Taking time to exercise your body and your mind in ways you enjoy helps bring calmness and serenity into the most stressful decisions.

5.  Talk to someone you trust.

When you have hard decisions to make, talk to someone who is a trusted counselor or advisor in your life. Maybe it’s: your next-door neighbor who is like a second mom, your friend at yoga class, the guy in the next cubicle over, or a licensed therapist. Don’t let stressful decisions isolate you! Instead, surround yourself with people who know you and can give you wise advice.

6.  Know when enough advice is enough.

On the other hand, do not let yourself become totally overwhelmed or burdened with the thoughts and opinions of others. Be confident in the knowledge of yourself and being able to discern what is right for you, even if your decision doesn’t make anyone happy. Some decisions are more important than others, and you want to make sure that you are confident and happy with the decisions you are making, no matter what the people around you think.

7.  Make a list.

Sometimes when you have endless thoughts swirling around in your head, you can feel completely lost and just end up ignoring it all completely, instead of dealing with it. To avoid this, take out a piece of paper or a notepad and write it all down. Get every thought out on paper, whether it includes a grocery list, worries and concerns, pros and cons for your decisions, or the size of battery you need to fix your flashlights. Once you have it down on paper, you can prioritize your list and see what needs your immediate attention, versus what can wait a few days. Once you have a list, you have a road map.

8.  Take care of yourself.

Stressful situations can impact you in all sorts of ways, and more than just not sleeping. It can get in the way of taking care of yourself. When you find yourself reaching for coffee or soda, drink a big glass of water first to stay hydrated. Try to eat some fruits and veggies to give your body a break from fast food. Give yourself the grace to take a walk around the block- you know, the long way to the office- to give yourself some fresh air. Even better, don’t sweat the small things! Don’t let FOMO stress you out or make your decisions for you, and don’t let the small stuff get in the way of the big picture. Breathe deep, trust your instincts, and take care of yourself. Small steps will go a long way.

9.  Pamper Yourself.

If you need a little extra push, get a pedicure and give yourself a break, relaxing in the massage chair for a bit. If that’s a little out of your comfort zone, put some lavender or another calming essential oil in a diffuser while you are getting ready for bed to help you relax. If you want something with more of a kick, you can take some of our Full Spectrum CBD Tincture under your tongue, or mix it in with lotion for a soothing, relaxing experience.

No matter what your decision is, we believe in you! Take a deep breath, give yourself grace, and go for it. You’ve got this!
